STEP 1 First of all, age does not matter! Many people think that a new car does not need to be clayed. This is not necessarily true! Contamination doesn't care if your car is new or old. If your car is subjected to airborne contamination and it has bonded to the surface, it needs to be clayed. Step one is a test to see if your paint needs to be clayed. This can be done by simply feeling the surface, if it feels even slightly rough, it's time to clay. Adam's Detailing Clay will remove contamination such as industrial fallout, pollen, rail dust from transport and even paint over spray.

STEP 2 Remove the Adam's Detailing Clay Bar from the storage jar and plastic wrapper. Tear off approximately one third of the Adam's Detailing Clay Bar and return the remaining clay to the jar and store for later use. Stretch and fold the section of the Adam's Detailing Clay Bar several times then press flat onto your lubricated windshield to create a uniform cleaning surface.

STEP 3 Starting on your upper surfaces first, spray about a 2 foot section of the panel with Adam's Detail Spray. Glide Adam's Detailing Clay with medium pressure on finish until smooth. Work in straight lines from multiple directions in a small section at a time. Keep your surface well lubricated with your Adam's Detail Spray.

STEP 4 Repeat the claying process over your entire vehicle, one section and panel at a time. As Adam's Detailing Clay Bar gets dirty or starts to get thin, fold over several times and flatten again to expose a fresh clean surface. Leave residue on the finish if only light contamination was removed. Rewash and dry if more significant contamination was removed.
IMPORTANT! If you drop your detail clay bar on the ground you MUST throw it away as it will pick up dirt from the ground which will scratch your vehicle!

STEP 5 Don't forget your glass and headlights! Adam's Detailing Clay will make your paint, glass, chrome and headlights feel slick and smooth as well as your paint.
Store clay in the provided jar. Add a single squirt of Adam's Detail Spray before sealing lid to keep clay moist.

PRO TIP! If you are unsure if you need to clay your vehicle try the "Baggie Test", its easy! Be sure your surface is clean and simply place your hand in a clean clear plastic bag and feel your surface, especially your hood, trunk and roof, which tends to be the most contaminated. The bag acts as an amplifier for the bonded surface contamination. If you feel any roughness, it's time to clay!
Remember, if you have bonded contamination and you wax over it you are not truly getting protection on your paint!
